Topic: My Grandfather's Life in Ukraine
Guest Speaker: Dr. George Isajiw
Dr. George Isajiw is a doctor with 49 years of private practice in primary care medicine in Lansdowne. He is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College, class of 1970. He will share the life story of his grandfather, Father Nicholas Konrad.
Father Nicholas Konrad was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic priest who served and taught in Ukraine. He was one of the first twelve Catholic priests killed in Western Ukraine by the Soviet KGB when World War II broke out in June 1941.
He was beatified by Pope Saint John Paul II, along with 25 other martyrs, in 2001.
